Wolfhounds Teach Baseball at Irish Youth Sports Camp

by John Fitzgerald

Several members of the Irish Wolfhounds Baseball Club taught baseball at the annual Irish American Youth Sports Camp in the Woodlawn section of the Bronx. During the week-long camp, boys and girls played hurling, gaelic football, and baseball!

The baseball portion of the camp was run by Wolfhounds coach Vin Malzahn, with help from coach Eric Helmrich and players Mitch Hillert, Conor Santoiani, and Tommy Dunleavy!

The camp is run by Healthy Kidz CIC with support from Emerald Diamond International. Each year, Healthy Kidz and Emerald Diamond introduce the game of baseball to over 2,000 boys and girls in Ireland.
